Our residential service standard combines four coordinated steps on the confirmed cleaning day, which may differ from municipal collection day.

Why specialized equipment matters

A household hose may loosen visible dirt, but it can leave dirty water at the curb and may not reach stuck on buildup. Purpose built equipment lifts and positions the empty bin so the interior can be washed more consistently.

A convenient curbside routine

Customers leave empty bins accessible on the scheduled service day. The service is completed curbside, so the customer generally does not need to be home.

How much does trash can cleaning cost?

NTBC requires at least two eligible wheeled trash and/or recycling bins at the same address per cleaning. We do not offer a single-bin residential visit. A one-time professional cleaning starts at $59.95 for two bins. A new recurring plan also starts at the $59.95 first-cleaning rate; the discounted recurring price begins with the second visit.

  • One-time: $59.95 for two eligible bins.
  • Monthly: $59.95 first visit, then $29.95 per two-bin visit.
  • Every two months: $59.95 first visit, then $39.95 per two-bin visit.
  • Quarterly: $59.95 first visit, then $49.95 per two-bin visit.
  • Additional eligible bins: $10 each beyond two, on the same visit.

Rates are before applicable tax. Oversized containers, difficult access or extraordinary contamination may require a separate quote. Recurring subscriptions have no minimum number of visits and no early-cancellation fee; cancel before the next billing date to stop the next renewal. Review current pricing and service policies before enrolling.

Is trash can cleaning different from trash bin cleaning?

Homeowners use several names for the same outdoor wheeled container: garbage can, trash can, trash cart, wheelie bin or trash bin. NTBC uses those common terms for professional cleaning of eligible residential rolling garbage and recycling containers. Indoor wastebaskets, loose recycling baskets, commercial dumpsters and yard-waste bags are not automatically eligible for residential cart cleaning.

Our provider verifies equipment compatibility and container types before a visit is accepted. If you have an unusual cart size or a smaller recycling container, identify it in your service request so we can verify whether you meet the two-bin requirement.

How does scheduling work if my city has different trash pickup days?

Start by submitting your service address, bin count and local waste-collection details. NTBC reviews whether a qualified provider has compatible equipment, route capacity and a suitable visit time for the location. A city appearing in our national service area directory means customers may request service there; it does not guarantee an active cleaning route on every street.

Once the provider and date are confirmed, you receive instructions for where to leave both empty bins. The professional cleaning appointment may be on a different day from municipal garbage collection. You generally do not need to be home, but the provider must be able to safely reach the containers.

Why hire a professional instead of rinsing trash cans yourself?

A garden hose can remove some loose debris, but sticky food residue can remain at the bottom, beneath the lid and around handles. Professional machine washing is designed to reach those areas, apply appropriate sanitizing and deodorizing treatments, and recover dirty wash water rather than leave runoff at the curb. Cleaning can reduce buildup and odors; it cannot guarantee permanently germ-free bins.

Common questions about residential trash can cleaning

Can one trash can be cleaned by itself?

No. NTBC requires two compatible wheeled trash and/or recycling bins at the same address per scheduled residential visit.

Does a new monthly plan start at $29.95?

No. The first cleaning of two bins costs $59.95 on a one-time or new recurring plan. The $29.95 monthly recurring rate applies starting with the second cleaning.

Will you visit immediately after the garbage truck?

Not necessarily. NTBC schedules the cleaning independently after confirming provider capacity and your address, so the service day may differ from municipal collection day.

Can I request service from a city not listed?

Yes. Requests are accepted nationwide, but a cleaning date is not promised until provider availability and route suitability are confirmed.
